IAT Foundations Online Course
A self-paced introduction to the core principles of Integrative Attachment Therapy
Foundations Online offers clinicians a flexible and accessible introduction to the core principles of Integrative Attachment Therapy. This self-paced course explores how IAT understands attachment insecurity, the ideas that shape the model, and the broader clinical framework within which the approach sits.
Across four modules, clinicians will learn directly from the creators of the model through mini-lectures, discussions, clinical demonstrations with commentary, and reflective prompts. It is designed as a grounded first step for those who want to become familiar with IAT before deciding whether to continue into deeper training.

IAT Foundations In-Person Workshops
A live introductory training in the principles of Integrative Attachment Therapy
Foundations In-Person offers clinicians a live introduction to the principles of Integrative Attachment Therapy. These trainings are offered at selected times through the IAT calendar and provide an opportunity to learn directly from the creators and trainers of the model in a more immediate and relational learning environment.
For many clinicians, the in-person format offers a rich opportunity to engage with the model through live discussion, demonstration, and shared reflection. Participants can experience how the ideas are held, communicated, and explored in a live learning environment.
This format allows for a different kind of contact with the work. Clinicians can ask questions in real time, witness the model being brought to life through demonstration, and learn alongside others who are similarly curious about attachment repair. It offers a more experiential sense of the clinical orientation, tone, and underlying philosophy of IAT.
For those who are able to attend, the in-person training can be a particularly rich way to begin. For others, Foundations Online remains a flexible and accessible starting point, offering a strong introduction to the model before deciding whether to continue into deeper training over time.
Why Integrative Attachment Therapy?
Integrative Attachment Therapy combines the best aspects of several therapeutic approaches to resolve attachment insecurity and to promote healthy and secure attachment relationships.
This approach recognises that there is no single "one-size-fits-all" therapy that can address the complex and multifaceted nature of attachment disturbances and their effects. Skill with IAT helps the clinician tailor the treatment to the patient and avoid trying to fit the patient to a therapy method.Â
